How did Medleys affect your UCLA experience?

Medleys was the best decision I made in college. No group of people has made me feel more comfortable about being myself. With them I could be silly without fear of judgment, or serious and always have a friend to help me along. I had a group of friends, family members even, that I could sing with, hang with, party with and go on adventures. Medleys made me a better person, too. I was challenged to think about why people sing music and to express myself in ways I hadn't thought possible before. I was exposed to people who were having good days and bad days and encouraged to communicate with them on a human level. From Medleys I learned what a community was, and fostered a appreciation for music and for people that would have never developed otherwise.

Most Memorable Medleys Moment

Backpacking in Big Sur with the Little Boys, Day Three. Man versus trail. When in the face of an uphill forest of vines and spiny branches, our heroes did not falter. We ploughed our way up, complaining and singing songs we had never sung before. At the top, foxtails in socks, thorns in butts, skin scraped and pale pink as the sunset at our backs, young Samwise recounted, "I felt like I was stalking a wounded animal." Paul blushed.

Where are you now?

I am studying light-matter interaction at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs and applying to graduate school for a doctorate in Physics...and hoping to find or form a group of music nerds wherever I end up

Are you still singing?

If you were to perform in the circus, what would you do?
